RILEY MARTINEZ FINISHES JULIA DORNY IN FIRST ROUND AT IFC 54

(October 27, 2023) BOSTON – Invicta Fighting Championships made its east coast debut at the Citizens House of Blues in Boston, Massachusetts. In the second fight of the night Riley Martinez delivered an impressive win versus Julia Dorny in featherweight action at Invicta FC 54. Martinez made a strong impact in her first bout under the Invicta FC promotional banner.

RILEY MARTINEZ found a home for her right hand early unloading hard straight right hands from the opening bell of the first round.  The Idaho warrior quickly began imposing a relentless assault of strikes.  Before Julia Dorny was able to find her bearings Martinez pushed Dorny against the cage.  Moments later Martinez delivered a hard takedown on Dorny.  Martinez swiftly took the back of Dorny.  After a brief struggle Martinez gained full control from the back of Dorny and began dropping numerous smashing right hands to the side of Dorny’s head.  Martinez secured the back once more sinking in the rear choke with crushing success to deliver a tap out submission from Dorny less than two minutes into the fight for the victory.

Riley Martinez produced a dominating win with her first round finish of Julia Dorny, making a loud statement in the Invicta FC 145 division.   Martinez raises her pro record to (3-0) while Julia Dorny drops to (2-2).
